Waskom ISD is located in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas. Conveniently located 25 minutes from Shreveport, Louisiana and a short drive to Tyler and Dallas, Texas.

The Wildcat athletic program offers football, volleyball, basketball, cross county, powerlifting, soccer, softball, track and field, and baseball. Most recently, the football team won the 3A state football championship in 2014 and 2015.

SALARY:

11 Months contract. Salary based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field
Valid Texas Athletic Trainer Licensure from the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation

Current CPR & AED certification

Two years’ experience preferred

POSITION SUMMARY:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all components or the athletic training program for student athletes. Work under the direction of the Athletic Director to prevent, recognize, assess, manage, treat, and recondition athletic injuries and illnesses.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Knowledge of therapeutic and injury prevention

Ability to provide emergency care and rehabilitation for student athletic injuries Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes and assistants

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
