UT Health East Texas is looking for a full time Athletic Trainer.  This position will be assigned to the University of Texas at Tyler (NCAA Div. 2) working with men’s basketball and women’s golf.  This position would travel to all basketball events.

Primary duties:

• Be available at all athletic practices and events.
• Assist with pre-participatory athletic physicals
• Prevent, evaluate, and treat athletic injuries using appropriate medical protocols.
• Perform athletic injury assessment and referral to appropriate healthcare provider.
• Perform treatment, rehabilitation, and documentation using evidence-based protocols.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Trainer or other health related field
• Texas Athletic Trainer Licensure
• NATABOC Certification
• Previous full-time experience is preferred
• CPR/AED certified
