Sure Hire Occupational Testing

Location(s): Midland, TX

Status: Full time or Part time

Wage: $27.00/hour

Job Purpose: Provision Fitness-to-Work testing & occupational testing.

Start Date : Jan 2022

Working Conditions

  • Hours: Monday to Friday between 7:00am – 6:00pm, some evenings and weekends
  • Travel: Occasional travel will be required for onsite testing and/or in between SureHire locations. Onsite testing includes going to a company location, rig sites, refineries, etc.
  • Physical Environment: Office environment primarily. Some onsite testing may be required.

Job Summary & Duties

  • Evaluate testing participants Fitness-to-Work status through completion of the following:
  • Review of testing participant’s PAR-Q status, health and injury history,
  • Performing blood pressure measurement(s),
  • Interviewing testing participants to discuss their disclosed health and injury history,
  • Performing a full-body musculoskeletal examination of the testing participant, and
  • Evaluating testing participant’s ability to safely complete the critical strength and mobility (CSM) portion of testing.

Occupational Testing

  • Conduct a variety of occupational testing services
  • Urine analysis
  • Breath alcohol
  • Vision
  • Audio (optional)
  • Spirometry (optional)
  • Respirator Fit testing Fitting (optional)

Additional duties & tasks when assigned:

  • Assist with testing participant intake process,
  • Participate in weekly or daily cleaning tasks ensuring the Power Centre facility is presentable and hygienic,
  • Assist or oversee the completion of bi-weekly inventory ensuring counts are accurate and submitted in a timely manner
  • Completion of physical demands analysis (PDA’s) on client worksites
  • Additional duties & tasks as assigned

Job Specifications:

  • Entry-level clinical degree (physiotherapist, chiropractor, athletic therapist)
  • Formal training/certifications/licences: Active licensure with the following regulatory bodies/Associations is required:
  • Physical Therapist:
  • Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
  • Chiropractor:
  • Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners
  • Athletic Trainer:
  • National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA)
  • Texas State Athletic Trainers’ Association (TSATA)


  • Assessing and treating musculoskeletal and occupational injuries is a strong asset
  • Direct patient care is an asset
  • Supervising patient/client exercises is a strong asset
