Texas Teacher Certification (preferably Health Science or Core Subject)
BOC Athletic Trainer Certification Preferred

LOCATION: Sunray ISD, Sunray, Texas
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To serve as the head athletic trainer for the district and to prepare and coordinate a staff of student trainers to assist in the care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Cover all varsity football games and all home games/meets 7-12 for basketball, baseball, softball, and track.
Attend/be available for varsity practices
Organize physicals and associated paperwork for all athletes 7-12.
Compile and keep current emergency folders for all athletes in the program which will establish any and all necessary procedures in the event of such an emergency.
Supervise and grow student trainers and your athletic training program.
Perform other duties assigned by the Athletic Director.
Evaluate and record rehabilitation progress of athletes. Communicate this progress to the coaching staff both verbally and electronically.
