Scottish Rite for Children – Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center (Frisco, TX)
Position Summary: Athletic Trainers in the Sports Medicine Center assist the clinical team with clinical care and care coordination with other providers. They assist in the prevention, assessment and treatment of sports related injury by providing brace fittings, functional assessments, home exercise programs, etc. Athletic trainers also assist with the administration of testing related to our concussion program and function as a physician extender. They also provide sport-specific education and communication with appropriate individuals including, but not limited to community athletic trainers and coaches to improve patient satisfaction and return to play and occasionally participate in scheduled community events to provide education or advertise sports medicine services.
This staff member may be required to perform other reasonably related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an athletic training program or related field with a minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred. National Athletic Trainers’ Association certification preferred. Licensed in the state of Texas and CPR required.
