Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
● Create an environment of trust with students built around Christian, evangelical practices and principles
● Assist Head Athletic Trainer in all components of the athletic training program for student athletes
● Attend practice sessions and game contests as assigned, including evenings and Saturdays ● Support team physicians to carry out activities in the prevention, evaluation, emergency treatment, physical reconditioning, and rehabilitation of injuries and prepare athletes for games/practices by conducting evaluations and using protective devices as needed
● Respond to emergencies and make quick, independent judgments about dealing with injuries ● Apply therapeutic modalities and instruct athletes on proper on proper exercise form
● Follow professional, ethical, and legal parameters regarding use of drugs and therapeutic agents for treatment and rehabilitation of injured athletes
● Maintain an inventory of training supplies and equipment. Requisition additional supplies as needed.
● Communicate with parents throughout their athletes injury
● Assist in managing and educating student athletic trainers

Experience and Skills:
Qualified candidates will have experience and working understanding in the following:
● Christian maturity that demonstrates a desire and capacity to create a healthy athletic environment
● Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant athletic training experience at the collegiate or high school levels. Master’s Degree preferred.
● Valid license from Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers: NATA-BOC Certification, eligibility for Texas State license, CPR, First Aid, and AED certified
● Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as athletic training room management.
● Preference will be given to candidates who live in the central Texas area
