Job Description

Coordinates athletic training services and facilities.  Manage athletic insurance program and electronic medical records system.  Organize PPE, manage budget and inventory, and order supplies and apparel.  Administer COVID and drug testing program. Schedule physician appointments and transportation.  Manage travel and purchase accounts.  Provide athletic training services as needed.  Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA).  Work hours as requirements indicate.  Tarleton State University participates in the NCAA D1 and the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).



90% – Administrative duties
10% – Sport assignment as needed

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or related field.
2 years experience in athletic training.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.


Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses

Texas Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT), eligible
Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
Health Care Provider CPR


Preferred Requirements

Masters degree
3-5 years experience in athletic training.
Collegiate athletic training experience.
Experience with CAATE athletic training programs.
