GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO START THE ATHLETIC TRAINING PROGRAM AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.  We have received board approval for a full time trainer and this person will build the program from the ground up!

Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED, Masters PREFERRED

Valid license from Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers

Current adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certification.

Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned. The applicant will teach 3 exercise science and wellness classes, train 2 athletic periods (1 JH & 1 HS), and prep 2 conferences.

Plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of the athletic training program for student-athletes. Working with all JH/HS athletes.

Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and injury prevention.

Ability to provide emergency care and rehabilitation for student athletic injuries.

Ability to instruct and supervise student-athletes and assistants.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with athletes, staff and parents.
