Randy Stipes Passes

October 23rd, 2018

The TSATA Executive Board and membership would like to offer condolences to the family of Randy Stipes and Alert Services, Inc. on the sudden passing away of Randy.  Randy graduated from the University of Texas, while serving as a student athletic trainer under the tutelage of the legendary athletic trainer Frank Medina and Assistant Athletic Trainer, Spanky Stephens.  Upon graduation, he served as the athletic trainer at Fort Stockton High School working with Dan Blocker.  He began working with Alert Services Inc. in 1985.  During his time with Alert Services Inc., Randy was a true advocate for the profession of athletic training.  He mentored many young athletic trainers, and was especially effective in the rural high school setting.  His contributions to the profession and athletes will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched.   Randy was 64 years old.  The Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Irving, TX beginning at 2 this Thursday, October 25.  Visitation is set for the same day at 1.

Please keep Randy’s family in your thoughts and prayers during their time of need.
