Specific Job Responsibilities
The LiveWise Trainer shall work with Pantex Wellness and Medical Staff in delivery of health and wellness programming to Pantex employees, to include: health risk assessments, fitness testing, exercise prescription, wellness coaching, physical therapy, fitness equipment cleaning and general maintenance, and wellness center cleaning and operation. The LiveWise Trainer will support all on and off-site wellness programming under guidance from the CNS Health and Wellness Supervisor and Pantex Wellness Coordinator, and demonstrate an ability to communicate (both written and orally) as a subject matter expert in physical activity. They will be responsible for appropriate referrals to and from other healthcare providers.
The LiveWise Trainer shall adhere to the flexible hours assigned by the Supervisor, CNS Health and Wellness and Pantex Wellness Coordinator, not to exceed forty hours in a week, except as might be occasionally required. They shall be responsible for ensuring that applicable software/ hardware and relevant therapy and wellness equipment are properly maintained. They shall also notify the Pantex Wellness Coordinator of any software, hardware, or equipment dysfunction. The LiveWise Trainer shall ensure the on-site fitness center equipment and facility are clean and properly maintained. Additionally, the LiveWise Trainer shall report and/or address any observed safety/health issues to the Pantex Wellness Coordinator. The LiveWise Trainer shall be responsible for completing all relevant continuing education to maintain his/her professional licensure and CPR certification.
Specific Job Knowledge & Training Required
The LiveWise Trainer with appropriate licensure (Certified Athletic Trainer “ATC”, Physical Therapist Assistant “PTA”) will assist the Physical Therapist with providing qualified physical therapy services to those patients evaluated by the Physical Therapist. The LiveWise Trainer will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the Site Occupational Medical Director (SOMD) and Director, Occupational Health Services and Physical Therapist. They will implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort. They will be responsible for appropriate documentation of treatment in accordance with site policies, protecting patient Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Education & Relevant Experience
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; experience in corporate wellness is preferred. The LiveWise Trainer shall be a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), licensed in the state of Texas and possessing all current applicable licensure-eligible education. The LiveWise Trainer must maintain appropriate continuing education to keep certification/licensure current. LiveWise Trainer must be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain certification throughout their employment. Please reference: CNS Operations Professional (OP) Ladder.
