The Texas State Athletic Trainers Association has started a Relief Fund for the Licensed Athletic Trainers in Texas who were affected from Hurricane Harvey. This fund hopefully will help our brothers and sisters in need impacted from the devastation from Harvey. It is our hope to provide assistance in your time of need as now the waters are beginning to recede and the true work and rebuilding is beginning. Any amount of money will be greatly appreciated. TSATA will start the fund with a donation of a $1,000 dollars. We are family and family at this time of tragedy is who we can count on. There have been other states that want to contribute to this fund. I have already heard from Ohio and Louisiana state associations that want to contribute and help in any way they can. It is our hope that you as a Licensed Athletic Trainer will help in any way you can and give from your heart. I know many of us have given to the Red Cross and other groups who are raising money. This money will go directly to Licensed Athletic Trainer’s in Texas who are in need of personal help.
We all have seen the devastation on TV from Corpus Christi, to Rockport, to La Grange, to Houston, to Beaumont, and so many other smaller towns and cities. In this large area there could be over 1,000 Licensed Athletic Trainer’s affected by this storm. It is our hope to help as many as we can, and we are asking for your support in this worthy endeavor.
God Bless and thanks for your support.
