Sports Medicine I & II Course
The Texas State Athletic Trainers’ Association is proud to announce the approval of the Sports Medicine I & II Courses by the Texas Education Agency. These courses have been approved by the Commissioner of Education and by the Innovative Course Director for the TEA. The Sports Medicine I & II Courses have been approved for one state-elective credit each. Each course was approved for a one or two semester class, at the discretion of the school district.
Why:
The TSATA is required to provide an Instructor’s Course as a requirement for sponsoring an Innovative Course by the Texas Education Agency.
Where:
The TSATA Instructor’s Course will take place at the sites listed on tsata.com in 2008. The course will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Cost:
The cost for the combined Sports Medicine I & II Instructor’s Course will be $425.00 for the course syllabus/instructors manuals.
Instructor’s Credential:
All instructor candidates must hold a valid Texas Athletic Trainer’s License issued by the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers, a division of the Texas Department of Health Services.
