Sports Medicine II Course
This separate course is “only” for athletic trainers that have been “Certified” previously by the TSATA as SM I Instructors.
The Texas State Athletic Trainers’ Association is proud to announce the approval of the Sports Medicine II Course by the Texas Education Agency. This course has been approved by the Commissioner of Education and by the Innovative Course Director for the TEA. The Sports Medicine II Course has been approved for state-elective credit. The course was approved for a one or two semester class, at the discretion of the school district.
Why:
The TSATA is required to provide an Instructor’s Course as a requirement for sponsoring an Innovative Course by the Texas Education Agency.
Where:
The TSATA Instructor’s Course will take place at the sites listed on tsata.com in 2008. The course will be conducted from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Cost:
This separate course is “only” for athletic trainers that have been “Certified” previously by the TSATA as SM I Instructors.
The cost for the combined Sports Medicine II Instructor’s Course will be $50.00 for the course syllabus/instructors manuals.
Instructor’s Credential:
This separate course is “only” for athletic trainers that have been “Certified” previously by the TSATA as SM I Instructors.
All instructor candidates must hold a valid Texas Athletic Trainer’s License issued by the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers, a division of the Texas Department of Health Services.
